We just received a mail from Will Jivcoff who is running Medium Skateboard Magazine from Toronto:

“The video is called ‘A Good Initiative’ and features Alex Furtado, Japhey Dow, Dylan Fulford, Scott Balkwill, Scott Varney, Kevin Lowry and Nestor Judkins. We road tripped around Sao Miguel Island for 17 days and drank espresso, wine, swam in hot springs, ate way too much steak and checked out what skating the island had to offer.”

A film by Joel Watamaniuk.

Bobby De Keyzer’s last name means “the emperor” in Dutch and like his name requires him to do he is ruling skateboarding in his way. Meaning, his skating is amazing, the perfectly fitting music was made by a friend and Chris Thiessen’s filming and editing truly brought it all together. Probably Bobby’s best part to date!

There is this simple rule: Give skateboarders the prospect of good money and they will outdo themselves. All City Showdown is a well-known street contest. Every team consists of three riders and one filmer and has eight hours to film. Last years final stop of the series was Toronto hosted by Blue Tile Lounge. It’s just incredible to see all the footage that was filmed under the before mentioned serious time pressure.
