Here we have an episode of “Eat Like a Local” with 5 Boro professional skateboarder Jordan Trahan. For a day Jordan is showing us around his favorite haunts in the Lower East Side. There is also a little skating here and there:

When Alltimers first came out it felt like something quintessentially New York a.k.a. “a NYC thing.” but things have changed. Today the squad is packed with a bunch of Canucks which isn’t a bad thing by the way. It is kind off like Hip Hop it came from New York but the top artist at the moment is Canadien. Still, that doesn’t change the fact that Hip Hop music and culture will always be from the Bronx! Drake is just doing it best right now.

Featuring Dustin Henry, Conor Prunty, Charles Rivard, Will Marshall, Ben Blundell, Adrian Vega, Adam Zhu, Gabe Hazell and Etienne Gagne

One of the nicest things about the current state of the skateboard industry is that there are a lot of new companies with fresh ideas popping up and right of the bat Hotel Blue seems to be carving a lane for itself with this video. We feel that new companies tend to work out best when the person running the show has an opinion of his own and since this company is run by the same person that created LurkNYC  we are sure the company will have a strong direction. All in all, we like the vibe, the team, the skating, and this clip, and if you do too, you should familiarize yourself with Hotel Blue.

Featuring Giovanni Vacca, Adam Becerra, Mark Poole, Dylan Fulford, and Will Blakley.

If you have been paying attention you might have noticed that HUF just opened a new store in NYC and in honour of that store the team went out and got some really nice footage. On top of that Austyn’s Transworld cover trick is featured in this edit.

Featuring: Brad Cromer, Jake Anderson, Austyn Gillette, Matt Gottwig, Dick Rizzo and special guest Brendan Carroll.

We haven’t seen a Johnny Wilson video in some time and that is slightly unusual for the most productive crew in NY, sure Johnny has been in Paris working on Supreme stuff but in the end that is Bill’s thing. So it is good to see Johnny and company back on our computers screens with the 21st installment of his HD series. Enjoy!

Brad Cromer has been videotaping skateboarding for some time now and to be honest he is getting really good, the other noteworthy thing in this short video is the Austyn Gillette clip. We have not seen anything from Mr. Gillette in a while – there where rumors about him being injured – so to finally see him back on the board is certainly a good thing.

Dave Caddo has been around the block a couple off times. Starting back in the early 2000’s he popped up in many of our favorite videos. Dave has always been a skater with quick feet, a limber style and an eye for spots, we did not always like his style but only a fool would argue against his abilities. This 2015-16 version of Dave shows him in tip top shape still skating like a yoga teacher.

Dan Wolfe just did skateboarding a huge favor, he uploaded all of the parts in EE3 (1996) in 60p. Back in the day this video put a spotlight on the east coast and changed the way people skated. Eastern Exposure might even be the reason why Bill Strobeck edited big chunks of Cherry in black and white. And to this day EE3 is a classic with some truly great skating in it.

I don’t think I have to tell you about Canada’s recent rise in coolness… Everything Canadian seems to be poppin – from Drake to Dime MTL. I believe we can now add Clubgear (Clothing) to that list of cool things coming out of that country north of the US.

The current style of dress seems to be on the verge of changing. I mean, at least some of us look like the skaters in this clip, but I can imagine that the next generation might be fed up with the current mischmasch of Dickie’s and tech gear – the circle of trends… You know!

Here are the latest clips from Clubgear – enjoy!
