We know it’s a romantic fantasy and we are not here to ruin your imagination. But when Lexus is telling us that they have a “Hoverboard”, take a look, giggle and move on. In times where you can find a new No-comply compilation, a guy falling on his face and a dozen articles about hoverboards on a daily basis, there is no such thing as the real “Hoverboard” and none of us is going to spend that much money on it. Keep it as childhood memories and shout out to Robert Zemeckis for bringing it up in the first place! By the way: the day Marty McFly arrives when he travels to the future is October, 21st 2015. Die amerikanische Firma Huvrtech kündigt nun die Sensation an und verspricht das physikalische Wunder bis Ende des Jahres in den Regalen stehen zu haben. Im Video präsentieren der echte Doc Emmet Brown aus dem Filmklassiker von 1989, Tony Hawk und weitere Stars wie Moby das HUVr Board und es ist wirklich einfach zu bedienen: Draufstellen, anknipsen, los schweben. Wäre da nicht die Ironie, die verschmitzt durch Tonys Sonnenbrille aufblitzt und die dicken Schulterpartien der Hoverboard-Fahrer. Unter deren T-Shirts verbergen sich vermutlich Klettergeschirre, die diesen offenkundigen Fake immerhin witzig erscheinen lassen. Doch wer steckt dahinter?

Vermutet wird eine neue Kampagne von Nike. In 2015 will Chefdesigner Tinker Hatfild den original Schuh von Marty Mcfly aus “Zurück in die Zukunft II” in limitierter Stückzahl herausbringen. Dieser soll im Gegensatz zu dem bereits in 2011 veröffentlichten Modell “Air Mag” die selbst schließenden Powerlaschen besitzen. Darauf hat die Fangemeinde seit Jahren gewartet. Das HUVr Board Video hat mit mehr als über 2 Millionen Views in zwei Tagen bereits ein gutes Stück Arbeit Hype um HUVr Board, Marty Mcfly und “Zurück in die Zukunft” geleistet.
