It has been two years since we have seen the introduction of the SLEEP-OVER brand with their first video. Since then a lot has changed, from the crew to the clothes and the vibe in general. Were the first video was sexy, to say the least, this one is strictly about the skating or as the founder Fatos Veseli said “I wanted this one to be for the skaters, the people that backed the brand”.

IN 2020 Fatos has taken the reigns and has pulled the brand closer to his own person. “At the start, I was wearing hoody’s, T-shirts and tighter pants but I was dreaming of the South of France. Driving along the coast in a cabriolet car. We needed and wanted to make those clothes to connect to our base but I wanted to evolve and project the brand to where I feel I want to be. Now we have gotten to a place where the designs and the cuts are our own. That means a lot.”

There is no denying that this brand is being propelled forward by hard work and love for what SLEEP-OVER means to the people working on it. Pascal Kurth & Gabriel Dimming worked on the video up to the moment the beamer projected the light onto the silver screen. “They have been the motor behind this video, not me. I want them to have their day in the sun, to shine for a moment, because they put it all into the video.” Fatos told me.

For people that have seen the brand grow, it has been quite the journey, but for the people in the know, it hasn’t been a surprise that the changes have worked. Their newest collection is being worn by both men and women alike. So cheers, to SLEEP-OVER and the hard work behind it, because that is the foundation of any successful brand.

Damn, that is # 3 already? Yes. Our third Converse “Push Berlin” session earlier this year went down successfully and we can’t wait to reopen the doors of YAAM next Tuesday. Here is what went down, who was there and what you have missed out on:

Robotron has had a great year! They turned ten, multiple team riders have put out parts this year and Carsten “Barney” Beneker has been ripping extra hard since he hit that three-oh, so the bot chose to tour around Bella Italia this year.

Unfortunately not everybody could come but that left some extra room for some people that we don’t see skate that often. And with some people, we mean Julian Ruhe that sly guy truly sprinkled some style onto the pizza di-robo. Don’t waste any more time and click play.

Today at 6pm we will show you exclusively Jan Hoffmann’s new full part and to say the least, it is quite a heavy one. Before that you get the first look at Jan’s Pro Board for Robotron Skateboards and Cleptomanicx now, by showing you the snapshot recap of his surprise party at the Attitude Skateshop in Bremen last weekend. Aus Köln erreicht uns ein Clip vom Pivot Skateshop mit unter anderem: Fatos Veseli, Norman Wirtz und Kalle Wiehn. Gefilmt und geschnitten wurde das ganze von Fabian Fellmann.

Alex Schmitz, seines Zeichen Skateboarder, Filmer und einer der Macher vom ZUPPORT Store in Trier, hat in dieser 53 – minütigen Dokumentation Skateboarding auf den Punkt gebracht. Neben vielen großartigen Tricks, die in Trier oder Umgebung gestanden wurden und Bildern, die manch einen in frühere Lebensabschnitte versetzten, erwarten den Zuschauer persönliche Statements von Wissenschaftlern, Bürgern und Skatern zur Szene und ihrer Entwicklung.
Nehmt euch die Zeit und geniesst diese wirklich sehenswerte Dokumentation, in der Leute wie Mvf, Pat Lindenberger, Alex Mizurov, Fatos Veseli, Pascal Reif, Nob Szombati, Alessandro Magnani, Willow und weitere drin vorkommen. Gute Arbeit.
